Positano is an idilic cliff side village on the Amalfi coast Italy. It's a beautiful location to visit for its rustic winding streets, boutique shops and lovely restaurants. It's Italian roots immerse you within it's culture. From where we were staying in Amalf we went to the Amalfi ferry port and got a ferry to Positano. Positano can be reached by land or sea but is quicker by sea due to the long winding roads on the Italian coast and it was also a reasonable price for a return trip. We left in the afternoon and returned in the evening. When the ferry arrived in the port at Positano the view is amazing! Definitely a photo opportunity. You see everyone on their boats sunbathing looking back at the idillic views. When we arrived it was lunch time so we headed to a restaurant by the beach which was really nice. Italian food is my ultimate favourite! Carb overload but if you can't enjoy yourself when your on vacation when you can you. It was Tom's birthday the day we went so we enjoyed some Prosecco with out meal. While we were sat in the restaurant enjoying the amazing food I took the picture below. It reminds me of something from a postcard. The Amalfi coast is truly picturesque if your a savvy photographer and want some amazing keep shots this is the place for you. After lunch we explored the village with its lovely boutique shops. You can explore the winding streets and walk all the way up in to the hillside. The thing I love about the coast is all the small secluded beaches and coves you come across. There is so much to see and do a day was lovely to experience it but I would definitely plan to return and stay. Before we left to go back to Amalfi Tom ordered this lemon sorbet dessert which was so nice and refreshing and came in a whole lemon. The lemon's in Italy are so big! If your in Italy and see this on the menu give it a try :) Hope you enjoyed the post.
